John's Favourite places on the Island of Gozo

Here are some of John's favourite amazing places which are secretly hidden in remote areas of Gozo.

The Mother Goddess Fertility Temple is the most powerful temple in Gozo. Under the sitting lion head goddess, there is a square hole which in the Summer Solstice lights up in the rising sun.

Swimming in this beach which is under the Goddess Temple feels like a baptism of renewal. On the island that has the baby form is full of alabastor crystals.

The Powerful Cathedral Cave overlooking the Mediterranean Sea

The Cave has a stone age stone pot, a ritual well and many seats.

The Tanit Temple in the west of Gozo is a punic temple. The punic people came from Carthage which was in Tunisia. This is a private temple but its energy can be felt from the Energy Hill above it.

The Energy Hill above the Tanit Temple. Here the energy is fairly strong and fills the whole body. The views from this place are truly amazing especially during sunset.

The fantastic view of Dwejra Bay, Azure Window, Fungus Rock, Crocodile Rock and the inland sea from the Energy Hill.

The San Dimitri Stone Circle.

The Power Stone at the San Dimitri Stone Circle has a nice carved hole which creates an energy vortex around it.

The real Calypso Cave where Ulysses and Calypso made love to each other for seven years. Under the cave we find one of the water springs that Homer speaks about in his Odyssey.

In this place that looks like Machu Picchu is probably where Calpyso's nymphs had lived. It looks like a small village on a hilltop.

This is one of the powerful Dolmens of Gozo.

These amazingly old ritualistic throughs are found mainly in the south of Gozo. They usually have three compartments.

The chamber of the Canyon Temple lights up in the morning winter sun. Some of the Staligmites and Stalictites at the Temple have been carved to look like a woman. When playing the drums from this temple the echo is truly amazing which can easily put you in a trance.

These Arches are found in the middle of the Canyon on the way to the Canyon Temple. The views are breath taking especially or the natural colours on the Canyon walls.

The Wied il-Mielah Window is one of the best kept secrets of Gozo.

In winter in Wied il-Mielah valley there is a beautiful waterfall after it rains. In this photo you can see the sea spray going through the valley window.

This is best Gozo Fiord.

The colours of the sea and the fiord walls are very beautiful to see.

John loves to see the sunset from Dwejra Bay in front of the window of Fungus Rock. During the sunset John plays the Dan Moi musical instrument.

The sunset colours in Gozo will move your soul and spirit.

In Winter usually it rains for 2 hours in the morning and then we have clear blue skies. Some of the little lakes that we get are really nice to see with the background hills.

Some of the valleys of Gozo have running streams all winter. It is very peaceful to walk in some of these stream even with bare feet.

The hidden Phoenician Punic Temple in the North West of Gozo.

The wild coast line in the North East of Gozo is very picturesque. Along the coast you find nice remote rock beaches and natural pools that you can swim in.

The Natural Triangular Window in the North East of Gozo.

Under the cliffs one of the rocks is in the shape of a pyramid and is 50m high. A water spring comes out from under this massive triangular boulder. Many guests on the walk to this place feel the fairies and spirits around this peaceful spring pond.

The North West of Gozo has some of the best sea caves in the cliffs. There are a few Atlantis Temples along the way in this area.

The majestic cliffs in the South of Gozo. They are around 160m high and on some evenings you can hear the seagulls crying like babies.
