RoughC - John's first major experience with music.
John was always fascinated by computers and music. In the early 1980s his parents bought him an Acorn BBC computer which had only 32KB of memory. This computer was his first true love. Through his studying of Industrial Electronics John was able to hack his BBC computer and do a stereo output so he could program sound effects and sequencers on his computer. This lead to forming the band RoughC (Rough Sea) with his friend Michael Vella from Nadur which was very popular in both Malta and Gozo in the early 1980s. The band played its music in the main disco clubs of the time both in Malta and Gozo and had several appearances on TV. RoughC were the pioneers of electronic music in the Maltese Islands.
His passion with computers and music is still on fire to this day. Apart his music John programs software for online applications and mobile phones.
